I don't recommend these instructions for anyone unless you are absolutely certain of what you are doing. ONE mistake can cause you very serious problems.

You can buy this Xoftspy program (which seems to be a very good product). I'm still looking for a free remover. One thing you can try is to download TSC.ZIP and the latest virus pattern file from Trendmicro.com. Extract and run TSC. That may remove and repair this.

i have a few programs that "remove" it, but it always comes back....if i try to delete the folder....i get something that says "access is denied"

Okay-you probably have a trojan that is the root cause of the IBIS issue. Go to www.trendmicro.com & run their free online virus scanner. Hopefully, it picks up on the trojan.

If I remember correctly I used the "RESTORE" function in Windows XP to get rid of it.

Shit---THAT"S PROBABLY IT RIGHT THERE(almost)!!!!

I bet you have to disable System Restore (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;264887), reboot, and then run the remover software.

Give that a shot

Pop ups are really easy to stop unless you have a virus or trojan. Just go to download.com & do a search for pop up stopper....plenty of free products, and I think they all work very well (it's not rocket science).

Highdaddy, do U have Adaware? If so, here's somthibng to try, a fast fix and may correct the problem..

Got Add remove programs and remove the Ibis toolbar from there, it will ask you to reboot.. After all booted back up run a full system scan in Adaware and then remove whats left of Ibis, hope this helps..

You'll want to reboot-and if comes up in safe mode after the reboot, reboot again and hit F8 a few times during the boot up process and you'll get a menu.

Select Boot up in Normal mode (or something very similar).

That SHOULD do the trick (Running adaware & another virus scan will tell you)
